Penalty claims

 

Penalty claims are issued on the basis of SIA “EuroPark Latvia” General Terms of Use of Parking Places or General Terms of Use of Territories, which are located at the parking lots or territories operated by SIA “EuroPark Latvia”. Penalty claims are issued as a sanction for violating the terms mentioned and are meant to motivate clients to use the parking places and the territories according to the terms of use.

 

Objections

 

Clients may submit objections in respect of the applied penalty within 10 days from the date the penalty claim was issued by filling an Objection form at EuroPark webpage or by submitting a written objection (describing the nature of objections, indicating the penalty claim number and the personal data of the car owner or user) to SIA “EuroPark Latvia” (Zigfrīda Annas Meierovica bulvāris 8, Rīga, LV 1050, Latvija). SIA “EuroPark Latvia” has no obligations to consider objections that are submitted after the given term or where the penalty claim number and the personal data of the car owner are not indicated. Not submitting objections in the time will be considered as an acceptance of the duty to pay the penalty mentioned.

Penalty payment

 

Payment for the issued Penalty Claim can be paid at a bank using the payment order enclosed in the penalty claim or by bank transfer to SIA “EuroPark Latvia” - Registration No LV 40003553023, Account No LV19HABA0551008910968 - noting the penalty claim No.

 

Penalty payment has to be paid within 14 days from the date the penalty was issued. If the penalty payment is not paid within the due date, the collection of the penalty payment as well as the expenses related to the late payment will be transferred to the authorized party of SIA “EuroPark Latvia” – Lindorff Oy Latvijas filiāle Duntes iela 13, Rīga, LV 1013, Latvija) – as the result of which the date of the car owner may be obtained and published at a public debtors data base.

 

Standard regulations


EuroPark is a private parking lot and territory operator and works in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia. The General Terms of Use thoroughly comply with the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.


Private parking places and territories


SIA “EuroPark Latvia” operate and manage private and government owned parking places and territories. EuroPark parking places and territories have information signs and territory markings. General Terms of Use are set up in a visible place in all the EuroPark parking places or territories. By parking ones car in the parking place or territory, users of cars fully acknowledge the regulations governing the use of this parking place or territory being binding on themselves and the owners of their cars.


Parking attendants


Parking attendants can be recognized by EuroPark uniforms with the company logo, they control EuroPark prepaid parking lots and territories and are authorized to issue Penalty Claims in cases when no payment has been made or other General Terms of Use have been violated. Parking Attendants are not authorized to annul Penalty Claims and their salary does not depend on the amount of Penalty Claims issued
